Description
The Federal Aviation Administration has a requirement for the construction of Chain Link Fencing. The project site encompasses sections of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), William J. Hughes Technical Center at the Atlantic City International Airport, Atlantic City, NJ. The site is known as the Recharge Bed area. The site is part of the ongoing CERCLA Superfund remediation at the FAA facility. The remediation is known as the Area B and Area 41 Remedial action. This Recharge bed area has been constructed to receive water from a new water treatment plant located in Area D at the FAA facility. Successful offeror shall provide labor, materials and equipment necessary for constructing an approximate 3000 foot long 10 foot high security chain link fence around the recharge bed area, in accordance with applicable specifications and plans. Estimated dollar value of this effort is between $250,000 and $500,000.00 with "substantial completion" of the Recharge Bed within 6 weeks from the date of the Notice To Proceed. "Substantial completion" shall include the installation fencing and gates to and from a continuous secure fencing system. Per the Miller Act (40 U.S.C.A Section 3131), performance and payment bonds are required for all construction contracts that exceed $100,000. The amount of the bonds should reflect the minimum amount required to protect FAA interests. An original copy of any bond must be retained in the contract file. The CO will not issue the NTP until required bonds have been received."Offerers must have the ability to obtain a $2,000,000 Pollution Liability Insurance Policy for the construction of the fence with the Federal Aviation Administration listed on the Policy as an additional named insured".This market survey is being conducted to ascertain levels interest from both small and large business concerns. It is requested that all vendors interested in submitting an offer forward their company name, address, point of contact, phone number and a listing of same or similar projects performed within the past three years to Phyllis.Reaves@FAA.gov by May 22, 2009.
