- This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Purchase Order by the Clinical Center 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda Maryland, 20892 using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items (FAR Part 12) to procure service for The Radiology and Imaging Science Department to provide ongoing laboratory research assistance for the Interventional Radiology Research Laboratory Section so that departmental research efforts are not interrupted and are of the prime quality. Sources with expertise in area of biomedical support for research studies that can provide biomedical research assistance are limited. The Government intends to award a sole source contract in accordance with FAR Part 13.5 for the above service to David Wood, 8109 Pats Place, Fort Washington Maryland, 20744. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other will satisfy the agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE IS 541712. All responses received within 5 days of the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The intended period of performance for this requirement is for one 12 month period for 40 hours each week Monday through Friday 52 weeks for 2087 hours total May 21, 2009 through May 20, 2010.
