- USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service is announcing a project under the Emergency Watershed Protection Program for Cooke County, Texas. The project is to repair major embankment slope slide. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required for site preparation; stripping the topsoil, removing displaced materials and removing additional materials to the existing crown. Removed materials will be stockpiled and then placed back in the embankment with class “A” compaction and finish the slope. Top soil will be placed concurrently on the surface of the earthfill. The work must be completed in accordance with the specifications and drawings. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted o/a May 30, 2009. Range: $250,000 to $500,000 Site Showing is scheduled for June 9, 2009 Location to be determined. Time: 10:00am CST. An amendment to this annoncement will be issued when the location is determined.
