- PLEASE NOTE that this is a presolicitation Sources Sought request for SMALL BUSINESS MANUFACTURERS ONLY, who can meet the requirement below. The NAICS code for this requirement is 314129, with a small business size of 500 employees or fewer. BACKGROUND: The Department of State has a requirement for bed linens and towels, which it intends to compete in the near future. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to identify SMALL BUSINESS MANUFACTURERS who may be able to respond to the subsequent solicitation. In accordance with FAR 19.102(f)(1), any concern submitting a bid or offer in its own name...that proposes to furnish a product it did not manufacture, is a small business if it has no more than 500 employees...AND it furnishes the product of a small business manufacturer or producer. Although small business resellers/distributors are available for these items, at this time the Department is seeking ONLY SMALL BUSINESS MANUFACTURERS who can meet this requirement, in order to make an appropriate set-aside determination for the subsequent solicitation. In order to be eligible, responsive manufacturer must be located in the United States or it's outlying areas (see FAR 19.001).
