Description
The US Fish and Wildlife Service Region 1, on behalf of the Ruby Lake National Wildlife Refuge, intends to award one or more sole-source contracts totalling between $100,000 and $200,000 to Spring Rivers Ecological Sciences, LLC of Cassel, CA for RELICT DACE HABITAT RESTORATION with SIGNAL CRAYFISH ERADICATION USING THE LEAST INVASIVE METHODS RESULTING IN NATURAL STREAM FLOWS AND TOPOGRAPHY under NAICS 541690 Other Scientific, and Technical Consulting Services. The award(s) will be to eradicate non-native fish species and signal crayfish (Pacifastacus leniusculus) from the spring systems, restore the habitat to conditions optimal for Relict Dace, and reintroduce Relict Dace. Under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) Only one responsible source, Spring Rivers Ecological Sciences is believed to the only qualified source for this work based on their proven ability to eradicate the non-native Signal Crayfish.No solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. Nevertheless, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the USFWS requirements described herein may submit a response no later than 05/29/2009, by COB to be considered. Responses to this posting must submitted in writing. A determination not to compete the described purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the USFWS.
