- The VA Network 22 Logistics Office seeks sources that are interested in, and capable of submitting a competitive offer for a firm, fixed-price, requirements contract (Commercial Item FAR Part 12) to provide all equipment, maintenance of equipment, and transportation necessary to manifest and transport all solid waste located at VA San Diego Healthcare System, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161, off-site to a private, secure landfill as "special waste". The waste will be inspected, upon disposal, for any non-conforming material. If non-conforming material is discovered, it shall be packaged and removed to a processing facility for appropriate disposal in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations. A compliance report will be presented to the VA within 24 hours of discovery of non-conforming material. Interested parties must submit the following information, in writing, to the Contracting Officer: (1) Sources Sought number (2) name, address, telephone number, fax number of company, (3) point-of-contact name and telephone number and e-mail address, (4) business size (large or small) of company, and (5) socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned, veteran owned, woman owned, minority owned, etc.) of company. Facsimile responses may be sent to (562) 961-1396. Questions regarding the requirements must be sent, in writing, to the Contracting Officer via e-mail to Jan.Smith1@va.gov or via fax at (562) 961-1396. All responses to this Sources Sought announcement must be received by close of business May 29, 2009.
