- The government intends to award a sole source, urgent and compelling contract to US Joiner, Crozet VA. The materials required are in addition to an order already placed and filled by US Joiner. These required materials were identified after a partial install was begun on another ship of the class. The materials are long-lead time delivery and are required for a ship repair period beginning August 7, 2009. US Joiner designed the materials and is the only known source.
