- TAS::57 3404::TAS ARRA XUMU 09-1119B, Replace Chiller 1 at Adm Bldg 8500, fully funded by Recovery Act. Work efforts for this project will consist of the replacement of #1 Chiller, located at the rear of Facility 8500, and will include Demo and Equipment installation. Contractor will demo/remove and dispose of the existing #1 Chiller off site, along with all associated components to include, but not limited to insulation on all water lines that will require removal of isolation valves, strainers, circulating pumps, shot tank, make-up water lines and tank, associated support brackets on existing chiller equipment, as well as electrical controls, gauges, sensors, along with drain lines from the Air Handlers. Contractor will install one new "Trane" CGAFC254 Chiller, having copper fin coils, complete DDC compatible controls. Electrical and Plumbing requirements will be met. Contractor will replace the small overhead inline circulation pump for the CRAC unit with the replacement efforts. New circulation pumps will be installed. New make-up water, air separator pumps, isolation valves, gauges and circuit setters will be installed. Wall patch and painting will be accomplished where required in areas where equipment has been moved from. The existing computers sever room temperature will be maintained at an acceptable level during construction efforts.
