Description
The contractor will provide the services, supplies, travel, and requirements in support of the A-10 Training System Program. The contractor will require and provide the technical capabilities to sustain the A-10 Training System, including hardware, software, modification, and implementation to ensure concurrency with the air vehicle. The contractor will provide the task and performance requirements for the Total A-10 Training Systems (TS) Support; including Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), operation of the A-10 Training Systems Support Center (TSSC), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) affecting trainer hardware and software. Subordinate support activities for CLS, the TSSC, and ECPs will include Acquisition, Management, Engineering, Logistics, Sustainment, Operations, Maintenance, and Modification activities. The A-10 Training Systems is currently defined as a Full Mission Trainer (FMT) and the Hand-on-Throttle and Stick Trainer (HOTAS), and their supporting systems and equipment. 1) The FMT consists of a cockpit, a visual system, an IOS station, a Threat Server, a Brief/DeBrief system, and an equipment cabinet. 2) The HOTAS trainer consists of a partial cockpit, IOS station, Visual System, and equipment cabinet. 3) The A-10 Training Systems primary supporting equipment includes a 400 Tb RAID storage and Database Generator System (DBGS) and HOTAS Master IOS stations. The program objectives will be achieved by adhering to basic Operational Safety, Suitability and Effectiveness (OSS&E) principles as they apply to trainers. The period of performance will be one basic year with five/six one-year options. The Government at this time is seeking interested sources and is under no obligation at this time to issue a contract.
