- Description
- The Non-metallic Materials Division (AFRL/RXB) requires that the contractor shall perform Research, Development, and Technical Transition on advanced nanostructured and biological materials, metamaterials, organic and organic hybrid materials systems and devices. Research areas of emphasis will include but not be limited to nano-based materials synthesis and functionalization, nanomaterials processing, nanocomposite development, biological materials development, bio-inspired, and biomimetric materials fabrication, processing, development, evaluation, modeling, simulation, research surveys, and various materials testing techniques, interface studies, and metamaterials R&D. This effort will also include the evaluation of new and /or modified materials systems and new/improved laboratory test procedures, analytical, characterization, and modeling techniques to evaluate materials performance. The ultimate goal is development of materials and processing methodologies that are vital to create advanced materials and devices for future AF systems.
