- Description
- The Corps of Engineers has a need for a contract for Concrete Repairs at Mahoning Dam, Pennsylvania. The work is located at the Mahoning Dam, Mahoning Creek, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. The dam is located approximately 6.2 miles southeast of New Bethlehem, PA and is 22.9 miles upstream from the junction of the Mahoning Creek and the Allegheny River. Work involves concrete replacement and/or concrete patching at various exterior locations, of several features to a concrete gravity dam. Work also includes grouting and drilling existing 8 inch diameter vertical monolith joint drains as a remedial measure to repair failed or missing water-stops. The period of performance will be 540 calendar days. Magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This procurement is set aside 100% for total hub zone vendors. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued approximately May 28, 2008 on-line only through the Federal Business Opportunities website; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the specifications and drawings will not be honored. Requests must be made by registering for this solicitation at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Once registered, vendors, plan rooms and printing companies will be able to download the solicitation and drawings on or after the above issuance date.
