- NUWCDIV Newport intends to issue a small business set aside fixed price solicitation for the following items: 15 each 1U Rack Mount Computers; 5 each Spare 1U Motherboards; 15 each Spare 1U Power Supplies; 4 each Spare CPUs; and 5 each Spare 1U Fan Assemblies. Delivery shall be within 30 days from award to NUWC Newport, RI. The specifications is as follows: 1. Form factor: 1U, 19 inch, rack-mountable computer; 2. Processor: Dual Intel Xeon quad core 2.833 GHz, Series 5440; 3. 32 bit address; 4. Memory: 4 GB PC3200 DDR2-667 ECC Registered, ( X 1024 MB DIMMs), ( 1GB per core); 5. Hard Drive Controller: Internal Controller, No RAID; 6. Primary Hard Drive 73GB equal or greater, 10K RPM, Serial-Attach SATA, 3Gbps, 3.5-inch removable hard drives; 7. Secondary Removeable Hard Drive slot available; 8. Optical Drive: internal, SATA, DVD-ROM; 9. Two (2) Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapters on motherboard; 10. One (1) 3.5 inch, 1.44 MB floppy drive; 11. Two (2) USB ports, USB 2.0 ! compliant; 12. One (1) Serial port; 13. On-board video adapter; 14. Expansion Slots: at least one (1), 64-bit, 133/100MHz PCI-X full-height slot; 15. Operating System: Linux kernel 2.6 or above; 16. Power Supplies: dual redundant supplies, 600 Watts each; 17. Rack Mounting Rails: sliding rails kit; 18. Max weight of 50 lbs.; 19 Dimensions: Hight: 1U, Width: 19 inches; Depth: 28 inches; 20. System cooling: front to back; and 21. Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF): 30,000 hours or greater. Vendor techncial information required to be provided with offer. Solicitation will be issued in less than 15 days per FAR 5.203(a) & (h). The solicitation will be made available no earlier than 18 May 2009.
