- The purpose of this announcement is to provide notice before issuance of a solicitation. The National Park Service is issuing a solicitation for quotes to firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically (paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available) on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and at the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fbo.gov. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http//ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notification will be sent. This solicitation will be issued under number Q6620090023. Title of Project: Fire Suppression System, Esch House at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Empire, MI. The work under this contract consists of furnishing all materials, transportation, equipment, and labor necessary to provide and install a fire pump and tank system designed for NFPA 13D applications system standalone unit with aboveground storage tanks. Pump system shall be complete with valves, fittings, pressure switch, flow switch, valve controller, and battery backup power supply. The system is to be installed in a single structure. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 27, 2009 with quotes due on or about June 27, 2009 (see solicitation for exact time and date quotes are due). A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the bidder submitting the lowest bid. NAICS code for this project is 238220 with a size standard of $14 million. Estimated Price Range: Less than $25,000. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. To be awarded this contract, vendors are required to register on the Central Contracting Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov and complete the Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov.
