- NASA/GRC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for the designand installation of a motivational and inspirational space for the Atrium lobby areas(first and second floors) of Building 142 at the NASA Glenn Research Center. The designmust showcase the Space Flight Systems Directorate, Glenn Research Center accomplishmentsand Glenn's space heritage, while maximizing the potential of the area to engage andinspire people as they enter the building. Examples of tasks to be included in theStatement of Work include, but are not limited to, incorporation and utilization ofexisting display items and furniture, populate walls, hang display models, incorporationof overall design to include windows, monitor areas and stairwells,and design of anoverall lighting theme. Background information relative to the Space Flight SystemsDirectorate may be found at http://spaceflightsystems.grc.nasa.gov/ No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If asolicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA AcquisitionInternet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sites forthe release of any solicitation or synopsis. NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) is hosting a Facility Tour Friday, May 15, 2009, at theNASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH. This event is specifically intended to allowpotential contractors to view, photograph and measure NASA GRCs Atrium lobby in B142 asan aid in submission of quotations on the upcoming procurement. The event location: NASA Glenn Research Center 21000 Brookpark Road Brookpark, Ohio 44135 Building 142 Lobby Preliminary Agenda (Adjustments may be made depending on Registration Response) 8AM Badging and tour sign up at security gate 8:30AM Transportation leaves for B142 from the security gate 8:45AM Orion lobby overview 9AM 10 AM Time for questions, photographs, measurements 10:15AM Return to front gate Submission of Company contact information, background and qualifications will be acceptedduring this event. Event Registration: No more than 2 representatives per vendor; Visitors must be U.S. citizens to attend thisevent. Registration shall be submitted no later than: 4PM (EST) Tuesday, May 12, 2009.
