The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking SDVOSB construction contractors to renovate 6 patients bathrooms in building 60 at Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS), Tucson, AZ 85723. Work includes, but not limited to, general construction, plumbing work, electrical, mechanical and special systems; fire sprinkler and nurse call. Perform all work according to specifications and drawings. Complete drawings and specifications will be included in the solicitation document that will be available on Fedbizopps on or about May 27, 2009. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on Friday, June 05, 2009 at 1:30 pm at SAVAHCS, 3601 S. 6th Avenue, Building 4, Conference Center, Room 113, Tucson, AZ 85723. All bidders/contractors are strongly urged to attend as there will only be ONE Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit for this project. This is subject to change at the discretion of SAVAHCS and any change will be posted on www.fbo.gov. Contractors shall contact John Kamerer, Contract Specialist to indicate their interest in attending the Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit. Requests, in the form of an e-mail message to john.kamerer@va.gov, must be received by the Contracting Specialist no later than Monday, June 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.local time. Solicitation responses will be due in the Contracting Office no later than Monday, June 29, 2009 at 2:00 pm local time. There will be no public bid opening. Telegraphic, email, and facsimile bids are prohibited. This project requires the bidders/contractors to secure bonding. All bidders shall be registered and verified in the www.ccr.gov and www.vetbiz.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov/. This procurement is 100% set aside for Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business (SDVOSB). The NAICS code is 236220. The associated size standard for this procurement is $33.5 million dollars in average gross annual receipts for the preceding three years. Project Magnitude: Between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The proposals will be evaluated and award shall be made utilizing the Best Value method under FAR Part 15. Firms are advised that award may be made without discussions or any contact concerning the proposal received.
