- Project # 646-09-137, "UD Garage Storefront Doors" at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh PA.This procurement is set-aside 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Work includes, but is not limited to, developing working drawings and specifications to install storefront doors and glass wall on the ground floor and first floor elevator lobbies of the parking garage. These doors and walls are to be similar in type and style as the existing storefront doors and walls in the sixth floor elevator lobby of the parking garage with the exception that the doors are to be sliding type.The construction cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The applicable NAICS is 238290 with the small business size standard of $14 million. Solicitation will be issued on or about (o/a) May 21, 2009 to interested parties through electronic data interchange at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov for downloading FREE OF CHARGE. Any amendments to this solicitation will be available at the website. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments from the website. Questions must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by e-mail to Philmore.CrichlowJr@va.gov or by fax to 412-954-4058 no later than May 26, 2009; so they can be addressed at the Pre-bid Conference. A Pre-bid Conference is anticipated o/a May 28, 2009 at 10:30 am EST at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive Division, Building One, Ground floor in the Engineering conference room AN216. Although not mandatory, all bidders are encouraged to attend the Pre-bid Conference. Further questions will be accepted by the Contracting Officer by e-mail or fax until close of business five (5) calendar days after the Pre-bid Conference (June 2nd 2009), and responses will be provided to all bidders on the Bidder's Mailing List. Questions received later than five (5) calendar days after the Pre-bid Conference will not be addressed in the interest of adhering to the scheduled bid opening date. Bid opening will be o/a June 22, 2009. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency if received on time. Prospective contractors: shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov, shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov and be registered at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov prior to award of a contract.
