- This contract consists of the following: Arrastra Creek #482 will be approximately 4.5 miles of trail restoration. Arrastra Creek is located on the Lincoln Ranger District. The trail will be constructed to hiker, pack and saddle standards. Tread width will be 24 inches. All aspects of trial restoration will be included in this project. Clearing and grubbing, excavation, turnpikes, foot bridge construction and ditching are all included in this project. Terrain is not exceptionally rough but there will be a considerable amount of rock that will slow construction. Beartrap #4137 will be approximately 3 miles of new trail construction mixed with some trail restoration. Beartrap is located on the Helena Ranger District.The trail will be constructed to hiker, pack and saddle standards. Tread width will be 30 inches. All aspects of new trial construction will be included in this project. Clearing and grubbing, excavation, switchbacks, climbing turns, grade reversals are all included in this project. Grade dips and grade reversals will be incidental to new tread excavation. Machine construction will be a requirement on this project. Government Estimate - between $25,000 and $100,000. Solicitation issuance date on or about May 11, 2009, Solicitation will be posted electronically.
