- The following is an overview of the Department of the Armys Yellow Ribbon event to be held in Los Angeles, California vicinity from 5-8 June and 7-10 August 2009: Lodging (Up to 265 rooms for two nights with check-in on 5-7 June and 7-9 Aug 2009; Up to 15 rooms for one night from check-in 7-8 June and 8-9 Aug 2009), Special Operations Room, General Session Conference Rooms (one large room set-up classroom style to accommodate approximately 600 people and four smaller classroom style rooms to accommodate 75 people), 4 Breakout Rooms (each to be set-up to accommodate approx 4-6 people), Audiovisual Support, a Separate Dining Room, Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner), Child care for up to 100 children for two days (6-7 Jun and 8-9 Aug 09), 3 Rooms for Child Care, Usage of Hotel Business Center, Internet Access/Capability, setup 12 Vendor/Registration Tables, Adequate self parking for guests, and Shuttle Service to and from Los Angeles Airport (LAX). Hotel must meet the following minimum criteria: (1) Have a 3.0 star rating or higher per www.hotels.com, (2) Be within a 20 mile radius of Los Angeles Airport (LAX), and (3) Be able to meet the specific requirements specified in the forthcoming solicitation, which are briefly summarized above. The solicitation will be a full and open competitive acquisition. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted to the Fedbizopps website (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about 15 May 2009 and close on 22 May 2009.
