- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-797-09-RP-0074 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and Department of Defense (DoD) to procure Prazosin. The estimated annual usage is as follows: 10,159 bottles of 1mg Tablets, 100s; 7,700 bottles of 1mg Tablets, 1000s; 18,020 bottles of 2mg Tablets, 100s; 11,007 bottles of 2mg Tablets, 1000s; 3,595 bottles of 5mg Tablets, 100s; 20,385 bottles of 5mg Tablets, 250s; The estimated annual usage listed above is for VA, DoD, Indian Health Service (IHS), and Bureau of Prisons (BOP). The contract period will be for one year plus two pre-priced option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DoD's respective Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor(s). Offeror's must state the exact name (name that appears on label) by which the drug will be supplied and have a unique NDC number. Capsules must be compatible with automated dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.). If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Solicitation No VA-797-09-RP-0074 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about June 9, 2009, with a closing date of June 30, 2009. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325412. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available, and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
