Description
The FAA has a requirement for repair services in support of the Stand Alone Weather Sensor (SAWS). The SAWS senses weather conditions for air traffic personnel. This requirement is comprised of six weather sensor components as follows: Power Supply Module, NSN 6130-01-483-2062, P/N S1439; ZENO-3200 Data Logger, NSN 6660-01-483-2664, P/N S1436; Sensor Unit Enclosure Assembly with Radio, NSN 6660-01-483-2928, P/N S1462; AT/RH Aspirated Sensor Assembly, NSN 6685-01-483-2616, P/N S1445; Control Display Unit with Radio, NSN 7021-01-483-2668, P/N S1433; Sensor Display Unit, NSN 7025-01-483-2720, P/N S1434. The proposed contract is for a base year with option provisions to renew for four additional one-year periods. These repair services are only known to be available from Coastal Environmental Systems a division of Coastal Climate Company. Coastal Climate holds the data rights and repair specifications. The FAA does not have available complete technical documentation to allow other sources to repair and support the system. To receive consideration as a potential repair source, any other concern must provide in writing a complete set of system specification drawings, all required standards and testing specifications, test plans/procedures, and part lists. Documentation must clearly demonstrate that the concern has ownership or legal access to required original equipment manufacturer documentation, equipment listings applicable to the SAWS as well as replacement parts necessary to affect the repairs. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Vendors must respond directly to the Contracting Officer identified in the market survey. Mark responses to this survey with Market Survey File, to arrive by May 15, 2009. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this market survey. Any proprietary information should be so marked. This announcement shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these services. Responders to this announcement may be asked to provide additional details/information based on their initial submittal. The final determination by the FAA not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the FAA.
