- Description
- The United States (US) Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), on behalf of the US Army Garrison (USAG), Fort Detrick, MD, has a requirement for the execution of energy conservation measures to building 1507. Subject requirement is in support of the USAG, Fort Detrick, Maryland (MD). USAMRAA intends to limit sources considered to Wasington Gas, Frederick Division, 1800 North Market Street, Frederick, MD, pursuant to Section 152 of the Energy Policy Act (EPAct) of 1992, 10 USC 2865, 10 USC 2913, and DoD Defense Energy Program Policy Memorandum 94-1 of December 20, 1993. Washington Gas is the only source deemed capable of fulfilling the requirement due to its current status as an energy provider to Fort Detrick and the only interested current energy provider to Fort Detrick. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Vendors may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Agency. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated capability within the established timeframe is invited to submit written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firms ability to provide the stated capability within the established timeframe. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer at: USAMRAA, ATTN: MCMR-AAA-G (Marc Bustamante), 820 Chandler Street, Frederick, MD 21702-5014. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, USAMRAA will proceed with the limited sources order.
