- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with The Boeing Company to procure a quantity of four (4) Alignment Tool Kits, Aircraft P/N:74D420512-1003 for the United States Navy and United States Marine Corp. The Tool Kit, installation/alignment will be used to provide the capability of insertion and removal of the stub shaft, the ability to mount and hold the Generator Converter Units (GCU) for repair, and the ability to carry the GCU to protect the item from being damaged during transportation. These Kits will also be used to test GCUs for Fluid contamination prior to running a performance verification test in support of F/A-18 C/D aircraft at Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS); MALS-11, MALS-12, MALS-31, and MALS-41. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own current data drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
