- US Army Engineering Support Center, Huntsville, Alabama has a need to modify and increase the existing Facilities Reduction Program (FRP) ID/IQ Firm Fixed Price Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOCs) programmatic contract capacity by $37.5 million. Intent is to extend these two contracts under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1)(2) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Tasks under each contract include reducing the number of excess facilities at military installations through removal, recycling, reuse and recovery of buildings and structures, based on best value to the government and time reasonableness. The two contracts to be extended are with Bhate Environmental, 1608 13th Ave S., Birmingham, Alabama 35205 and Charter Environmental, 72 Jonspin Rd. Wilmington, MA 01887. The NAICS code for this requirement is 562910, Remediation Services. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the contracting officer, Myra N. Maack, within 15 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses are due by 21 May 09 at 12:00 Noon to Myra.N.Maack@usace.army.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice is posted in accordance with FAR Parts 5.201 and 6.302-1.
