- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. Written solicitation will be issued. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract for the acquisition of Hilite III A Concealed Body Armor (Brand Name or Equal). This contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Requirements type contract. The annotated closing date for the solicitation is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the release of the solicitation. The solicitation will not close prior to the annotated closing date. There will be a Base Year and Four Option Years. Interested parties should contact Barry Smith for a copy of the solicitation at to (912) 767-5467 and/or emailed to barry.s.smith@us.army.mil. Solicitation issue date: On or about 04 May 2009. This action is being solicted Total Small Business Set-aside. The solicitation will be posted on 04 May 2009 at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. Click on contracting opportunities search and enter W9124M09T0033. Click on the solicitation number and at the bottom of the next screen. Click on attachments and then the pdf file. The solicitation will then open up.
