AMENDMENT #1 THE DATE AND TIME FOR RECEIPT OF QUOTATIONS HAS BEEN CHANGED TO 4PM LOCAL TIME ON MAY 14, 2009 IN LIEU OF 4PM LOCAL TIME ON MAY 8, 2009 The Precision Engineering Div. at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for personal services to conduct experiments, develop techniques, and obtain measurement data relative to improving the resolution for Scanning Electron and Helium Ion Microscopes. The specific tasks pursuant to this effort are described in the Statement of Work included in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation for this procurement will be issued on or about Apr. 29, 2009, under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government anticipates the award of a fixed price Purchase Order on or about May 15, 2009 with a 12-mo. performance period. The competitive solicitation, all amendments, and any questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will only be available via the internet at the above website. Potential Offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant Purchase Order. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained. Potential Offerors are requested to direct all questions via e-mail to randy.schroyer@nist.gov. To be eligible for award, Offerors MUST be registered with the Central Contractor Registry: www.ccr.gov and have completed its representations and certifications found at http://orca.bpn.gov THIS REQUIREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541712, and the size standard is 500 employees.
