Description

This acquisition is to obtain Engineering Services for the AN/ALE-47 Countermeasures Dispenser System (CMDS) software. Software Engineering Services are required to support software deficiency and change investigation, perform software engineering, perform software tests and revise documentation for all AN/ALE-47 products. These products include the Operational Flight Program (OFP) in the Control Display Unit (CDU), Programmer, and Sequencer Line Replaceable Units (LRUs). AN/ALE-47 products also include the Mission Data Generator (MDG) and the Data Reduction Model (DRM). The period of performance will be 12 months from the date of the award. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the government intends to solicit sole source to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems and Integration, Inc., Austin, TX, CAGE Code 19397. The authority for this acquisition is 10 USC 2304 (c) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. Justification: BAE Systems is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and is the only responsible source with the supplies, services, personnel, equipment, and facilities necessary to satisfy all of the government's requirements for this acquisition.
