- The Social Security Administration (SSA) will hold its 2nd annual small business procurement conference on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the agency headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. The conference will be open from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. The objective of the conference is to provide small business concerns with an understanding of the agency’s mission and objectives. There will be an exclusive opportunity for small business concerns to hear oral presentations from agency subject matter experts on the mission of the SSA. This is not matchmaking or one-on-one counseling. Large businesses seeking to achieve supplier diversity with the small business community are encouraged to participate as exhibitors. Small business advocacy groups will be available as exhibitors for advice and counsel. The services of Federal Business Council are being utilized to assist SSA in organizing and executing the small business procurement conference.
