- REQUEST FOR QUOTE Provide all tools, equipment, materials and labor to replace backflow preventers at U.S. Coast Guard Shore Side Detachment, Dubuque, Iowa in accordance with attached specifications (08M05082) and drawings (M1550-D). Significant work items include but not limited to: 1. Remove old water meter and backflow preventer in manhole and dispose of waste. 2. Extend manhole city water supply to above ground and the future pier supply line above ground and through manhole wall to new pipe cap location. 3. Install concrete slab over manhole. 4. Install new meter, strainer, valves, and backflow preventer on slab, in configuration to fit inside WattsBox, and tie-in to pier, Administration Building and city water lines left above ground. 5. Test and sanitize new piping and equipment. 6. Fill manhole with sand and replace manhole cover. 7. Install WattsBox on slab over new above ground piping. 8. Provide electrical to Hot Box heater. 9. Install Bollards. 10. Trenching, backfill and compaction The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This solicitation is 100 percent set-aside for certified small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 2007 code is 238220 with a size standard of $14.0 million.
