Description
The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment and incidentals necessary to repair and extend the Transporter-Erector (TE) Parking Area near Bldg 1845, and install an automatic gate at the entrance of the area. This project will require demolition, excavation, removal of asphalt, installation of new concrete and asphalt aprons, and construction of concrete retaining wall. Installation of block-heater plug-ins, area lighting, and automatic sliding gate, and all incidental work is required. All grass areas disturbed during construction must be drill-seeded and fertilized prior to final inspection. Area is secured and all workers will be required to be on an Entry Authorization List (EAL). A government escort will be on-site at all times during construction. 01 Demo & Excavation- Excavate all material necessary in order to remove the approx. 114' x 90' section of asphalt south of the existing TE concrete parking area. 02 Backfill & Finish - Backfill, compact, and finish area to be paved according to attached drawings/specifications. 03 Concrete - Install new concrete pad south of existing concrete pad in accordance with attached drawings/specifications. Mark pavement parking stalls according to attached drawings. 04 Electrical - REV 1 Remove pole mount transformer and install fused cut-out. Remove 6, dual outlet block heater plugins and posts and replace with 12 new dual outlet plugins and posts, protected by concrete bollards with yellow plastic sleeves. REV 1 6 of the 12 outlets shall be thermostatically controlled (i.e. the outlets centered in the 15-ft parking spaces), the 6 outlets centered in the 20-ft spaces shall not be thermostatically controlled. Remove existing vehicle swing gate and install electrically-operated sliding gate with keypad entry. REV 1 Install new 75 kVA padmount transformer, electrical panel, and supports protected by bollards. Install suitable area lighting on the east and west sides of parking area ensuring a minimum 15' clearance from edge of paved area and minimum 25' ground clearance. Abandon telephone cable running from gate phone to Bldg 1844 and install new conduit/cable. All buried utilities must be installed with marking tape in accordance with specifications. 05 Asphalt - Install new asphalt pad according to attached drawings/specifications. 06 Retaining Wall - Construct concrete retaining wall around edge of new asphalt pad and appropriate drainage system to divert stormwater flow to existing inlet on southeast corner of pad.
