- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the replacement of a roof for the Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC). The proposed procurement is 100% set aside for Small Business with NAICS code 238160 and a size standard of $14M. The project will be located at the Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC), Adelphi, MD. The solicitation will be available on or about 13 April 2009 with a proposal due on or about 13 May 2009. Estimated cost will be between $500k and $1M. Project duration is 365 days from receipt of notice to proceed. The requirement will be for the replacement of 80,373 total square feet of deteriorated roofs with Solar Thermal Tile Air-heating Roof Systems, which embraces solar/renewable energy technology. The installation is seeking to meet its energy reduction goal as well as its goal to reduce energy costs, in addition to participating in the endeavor to reduce greenhouse gases throughout the nation. All qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format on or around the 13th of April 2009. After issuance of the solicitation, contractors may view and/or download the solicitation and all amendments. Plans and specifications will not be available in paper format. Oral Communications are not acceptable. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). You must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) to receive a Government contract award.
