- Amendment 1: The purpose of this amendment is to change the description pertaining to line items 005, 006, 007, 008. The portion of the description for these line items relating to the embroidered silver text is to be corrected as such: Remove this portion of old description "(words on separate lines)" Replace the removed portion of description with "Text is to be placed below the logo in the following manner. SPECIAL OPERATIONS on one line centered beneath the star and DIVISION on a separate line centered beneath special operations." For purposes of the sample submission there are n o requirements for text size. Please scale it to size as appropriate. A jpeg file of the logo is available upon email request. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. _________________________________________________________________ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested. The solicitation number is HSSS01-09-Q-0008 and is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-26. The Government intends to award a competitive commercial fixed priced type contract for the US Secret Service. This requirement is for the purchase of an indefinite quantity of uniform clothing items in accordance with the attached specifications. The contract is intended to be awarded by 15 June 2009. Award will be made on best value. The resulting contract is targeted to begin 1 June 2009 and will be in effect TWELVE (12) months following date of award for the base period followed by FOUR (4) option year periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 315223. This requirement is set aside for 100% small business. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at the Federal Business Opportunities Website at http://www.fbo.gov. This office will not issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. All offerors shall view the attached solicitation for instructions on submitting a quotation. The deadline for receipt of quotations is 15 May 2009 by 12:00 pm EST and sent via email to Kimberly.Spangler@usss.dhs.gov. Hard copy or faxed proposals shall not be accepted.
