- Intent to Sole Source: The JTF-GTMO/J4 Contracting Office at Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba intends to award a firm fixed price, sole source contract for purchase and installation of proprietary electronic access control system. The procurement is authorized under 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source. There are no other known sources. The NAICS for this requirement is: 561621 and the applicable SIC is 7382. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer not later than 1700 Hours EST, 11 May 2009. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the contractor's capabilities and the ability to comply with above requirement. All responsible sources may submit a quote and their responses received will be evaluated. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
