Description
DSCR is seeking to establish an Indefinite Quantity Contract for contractor supply of the following types of Vehicular Batteries and related services, FOB Destination: 1) NSN 6140-01-390-1968, Battery, Storage, Lead Acid, Wet Charged, Waterproof, IAW Spec MIL-B-11188H, Type 4HN; estimated annual quantity: 2288 EA; 2) NSN6140-01-390-1969 Battery, Storage, Lead Acid, Wet Charged, Waterproof, IAW Spec MIL-B-11188H, Type 2HN; estimated annual quantity: 6543 EA; 3) NSN 6140-01-446-9506 Battery, Storage, Lead Acid, Wet Charged, Maintenance Free, IAW Spec ATPD 2206 Rev 7, Type II 6TMF; estimated annual quantity 134996 EA. First Article Testing is required on all of these NSNs. Contractor delivery of wet charged batteries and contractor pick-up and disposal services for unserviceable batteries of the same type delivered, limited to a one-for-one basis, is required for delivery/performance throughout CONUS and at specific site locations in Alaska and Hawaii. Contractor consignment stock services and contractor Direct Vendor Delivery/Supply to non-consignment customers/locations and contractor pick-up and disposal services for unserviceable batteries of the same type delivered is required for all battery types when ordered IAW Statement of Work provisions included in the solicitation/contract. All technical products and service requirements and contract terms and conditions are identified, described, and/or defined in the RFP. It is anticipated that a solicitation will be issued on or around June 1, 2009. The estimated combined dollar value over five years is approximately $48.6 million. The acquisition will be unrestricted, full and open competition. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DIBBS website https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Clause 252.225-7021 Trade Agreements applies.
