- Description: This work is to fabricate and deliver two sets of bulkheads. Each set is comprised of 3 bulkheads, a top, middle, and bottom section. The bulkheads will be built from structural steel. Each bulkhead is estimated to weigh approximately 32 tons. After the bulkheads are fabricated each bulkhead will be painted with vinyl paint. Each bulkhead will be approximately 5 feet and inches wide, 11 feet 5 inches high, and 37 feet 5 and 1/8 inches long. The bulkheads will be delivered to Lower Monumental Dam. TYPE OF CONTRACT: Fixed-Price Supply. ACQUISITION METHOD: Invitation for Bid (IFB). TIME FOR COMPLETION: 15 September 2009. PROCUREMENT INFO: This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. CCR REGISTRATION: In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and must provide registration information with their proposal. Contractors can access the CCR for free at http://www.ccr.gov. SOLICITATION DATE: Issue date for the solicitation will be on or about 16 March 2009 with the proposal due date no earlier than 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Closing date will be stated in the solicitation. NOTE: This announcement is not a solicitation but only an announcement that one will be issued on or about 16 March 2009. A solicitation package to include drawings and specifications will be issued on or about 16 March 2009 and will only be available on FEDBIZOPPS, www.fbo.gov. Paper copies or CDs will not be made available.
