- The principal components of work to be performed include: (1) furnish all materials and perform work to construct non-load bearing walls and ceilings which meet a two-hour fire-resistance rating on the mezzanine level and the turbine level; (2) furnish all materials and perform work to install ninety minute fire rated doors on three levels of the Powerplant; (3) furnish all materials and perform work to connect new electromagnetic door holders to the existing fire alarm panel and program the fire alarm to release electromagnetic door holders in the event of a fire alarm; (4) furnish all materials and perform work to install new aluminum glass entrance doors to the lobby with panic hardware; (5) perform demolition work of a section of wall between the east stairwell and machine shop to make way for a new door frame; furnish all materials and perform work to frame and install a new door; (6) furnish all materials and perform work to relocate water and air piping in the machine shop to make way for the new door; (7) demolish and remove the temporary wall on the mezzanine levels including furnishing all materials and performing work to repair remaining walls, floors and ceiling to provide seamless aesthetic appearance where the wall is removed; and (8) furnish all materials and perform work to install a steel exit hatch in the existing opening on the turbine level where the sump currently discharges. The work is situated at the Estes Powerplant, which is located on the west side of Lake Estes in the city of Estes Park, Colorado in Larimer County. The bid opening date is tentatively scheduled for June 16, 2009 at the Bureau of Reclamation's Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. The solicitation packages are scheduled to be available on or around May 15, 2009. All reasonable sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The estimated price range of this acquisition is $100,000 to $250,000. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 237990. The small business size standard is $33.5 Million. This acquisition is unrestricted. This specifications and drawings will be not posted to the internet; however the complete solicitation package will be available on CD. The request must include contractor's name, address, phone/fax numbers, tax identification number and their Dun and Bradstreet number. Note 1: Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration.
