Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a writtten solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) No. Q9280090301. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses of those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-32. FAR clauses and provisions are available through the internet at: http://www.arnet.gov/far This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541430 with a small business size standard of $7.0 million. This acquisition is to fabricate the following animal specimans as resin casting models, paint to museum quality realism, and deliver/ship to Craters of the Moon National Monument, Arco, ID. PRICE CLIN 0001. Coyote pup (sitting) 1 each ________________ CLIN 0002. Red Fox (sitting) 1 each ________________ CLIN 0003. Golden mantled ground squirrel (crawling) 1 each ________________ CLIN 0004. Yellow-pine chipmunk (crawling) 1 each ________________ CLIN 0005. Yellow-bellied marmot (standing) 1 each ________________ CLIN 0006. Packaging, Crating, and Estimated shipping 1 lot ________________ TOTAL PRICE FOR THE ABOVE ITEMS TOTAL _________________ THE FOLLOWING CLIN #'s 0007 - 0014 ARE OPTIONAL ITEMS AND MAY BE AWARDED BASED ON THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items is applicable. The Government will award one Firm Fixed Price contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer represents the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers: 1. Technical excellence (provide examples of related work and contact information from at least three firms you provided like animal specimans for as requested in this solicitation) 2. Price Evaluation factor # 1 (technical excellence) is significantly more important than price.
