Description

Contractor to supply all materials, supplies, equipment, labor, etc necessary to install tiltmeters suitable for monitoring deflection of a concrete gravity dam. The Dam is the Mount Morris Dam, located near the town of Mt. Morris, NY. Mt. Morris is approximately 40 miles south of Rochester, NY and 70 miles southeast of Buffalo, NY. The dam will be available to the contractor for work to be performed from 7:30 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday with the exception of Federal Holidays. Other hours may be made available with the concurrence of the contracting officer. A pre-bid site visits can be coordinated with Ms. Dorothy Jones, the Contracting Specialist at phone number (716) 879-4253 or Mr. Jeffrey Ernest, the Buffalo District Contracting officer at phone number (716) 879-7173. Direct all technical and contract questions to Mr. Ernest. The point of contact at the dam is the Maintenance Foreman, Mr. Jim Butler at phone number (585) 658-4220 or (585) 658-2574. The Site visit will be at Mount Morris Dam on May 12, 2009 at 10:00 AM. All installation and set up work to be completed no later than 19 June 2009. Liquidated damages of $350 per day will be assessed for each work day that completion is delayed by the contractor.
