- Description
- The Wilmington VA Medical Center is seeking an Architect/Engineering Firm capable of providing professional services to prepare documents for Project 460-09-110. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Veteran Owned Business and response time for quote is 5 days after selection. Estimated construction value is $300,000 - $450,000. The NAICS Code is 541330 with a size standard of $4.5M. The following Evaluation Criteria will be used during the A/E Selection Process: (1) Specialized experience of the firm with similar contracts. (2) Past performance on similar contracts and with Government Agencies, and familiarity with applicable codes, and ability to incorporate in design documents the requirements of JCAHO, OSHA, NFPA, and other such regulatory organizations. (3) Capacity of the firm to perform the work within required time frames and budget etc. (4) Specific experience and qualifications of the proposed personnel assigned to the Project Design and Management Teams. (5) Record of significant claims against the firm because of improper of incomplete engineering services. All work shall comply with current VA Master Specifications and Standard Details. Work will be in accordance with the provided scope of work, and is to be done in a first class manner as approved by the Facility Manager. The Scope of work for the project is as follows: Work will involve providing complete design to fully replace one freight elevator at the Wilmington VAMC. The project scope includes but not limited to: new cabs, controls, motors, rails lights, hydraulic system, etc. Work will also provide upgrading fire alarm work and security measures to control access. Elevator recall, tie-in new shunts trip and fire alarm system work will be required. Construction activity will involve all disciplines including testing and removal (survey), for hazardous materials such as asbestos and lead paint, general architectural, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical. Infection control measures to minimize risk will also be designed into the project. All work will be done in accordance with the latest ANSI, VA, UFAS, local, state and federal regulations. Award of a contract is contingent upon the availability of funds. This is not a request for proposals.
