- Notice of Sole Source Intent. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation; Quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation willnot beissued. This is a sole source requirement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. TheSpace and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), San Diego, CA,Contracting department intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a solesource basis to Infonic. This solicitation is in support of the United StatesNavy(USN), PMW 240 Sea Warrior Program Office (Distance Support). The awardconsists of a solution for integrated enterprise content replication and fileoptimization capabilities that includes brand name software which must becompatible and interoperable with existing USN hardware and technologyequipment and has been approved as part of the USN software baseline andNavy Information/Application Product Suite (NIAPS). This integrated capabilitymust identify and strip duplicative information, maintain electronic records ofinformation removed, compress, replicate, and reassemble original content atthe distant end. Infonic is the sole source proprietor of this software anddoesnt have third-party reseller available. This action is solicited as a smallbusiness set-aside. Award of this requirement will be in accordance withFederalAcquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. TheNorth American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 511210 with asize standard of $25.0 million. Interested persons may identify their interestand capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THISNOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. If youfeel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, thenyou must respond by demonstrating your firms technical capability to meetthese requirements by 8 May 2009, 1530 EDT via e-mail todarrell.dodds@navy.mil.
