- "RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT" Synopsis: THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WILL BE AWARDED TO A CONTRACTOR UNDER: GSA Financial and Business Solutions Schedule (FABS) SIN 520-13, for U.S. Dept of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Office of Audit, Assessment, and Management, Audit and Review Division (OAAM/ARD). This procurement, under the stipulations and guidance for Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the Office of Audit, Assessment, and Management, Audit and Review Division (OAAM/ARD) is requesting to add one (1) Consultant position to the existing Watkins, Meegan, Drury and Company Contract (2008F_08109), which is in its base year with three one year options, in support of the Financial Management Auditing Services effort as a result of the Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009 stimulus. The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) in conjunction with Office of Audit Assessment and Management, Audit and Review Division (OAAM/ARD) issued an Industry Day Notice on the GSA e-Buy system for interested vendors who wanted to submit proposals using GSA Schedule 520-13, Financial and Business Solutions (FABS) schedule. The notice was forwarded to 31 vendors under the (FABS) and it resulted in OJP receiving seven (7) proposals. After the seven proposals were evaluated by the panel members only one vendor Watkins, Meegan, Drury and Company were rated technically acceptable due to the other six receiving a marginal rating in at least one of their evaluation factors Based on all of the above it is in the best interest of the Government to modify the current contract with Watkins, Meegan, Drury and Company for services in lieu of initiating a new procurement for the same services.
