- The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, Little Rock, Arkansas, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Registered Quality Assurance Professional-Good Clinical Prac to coordinate activities directly with the research leadership, research administrative staff and the research compliance officers of Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System as lead facilitator in preparation for Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) accreditation activities for the Research & Development service. This procurement will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302, dependent upon responses received to this announcement. Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System believes that Registered Quality Assurance Professional-Good Clinical Prac is the only vendor with the specialized expertise to provide the level of services required. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 541712 and the small business size standard classification is 500 employees. Registered Quality Assurance Professional-Good Clinical Prac is classified as a small business concern. This notice of intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, interested parties that believe they can meet these needs must furnished sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement no later than 2:00 p.m., 04/30/2009. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. All Information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System will proceed with sole source negotiations with Registered Quality Assurance Professional-Good Clinical Prac.
