- Provide Professional Architectural Engineering Design services to Replace the existing 2-750 KVA UPS System and Batteries with 3-750 KVA UPS and Batteries at the VA Hines Information Technology Center, Hines, Illinois. This work includes AE Design, preparation of drawings, specifications and cost estimates for all facets of work and trades necessary to facilitate award of construction contract. Estimated construction cost is between $2,000,000 to $5,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to 100 miles of the Hines VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by close of business May 20, 2009. Selection criteria will be based on: (1) specialized experience and technical competence of the firm (including a joint venture or association) with the type of design required, (2) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project, (3) Professional capacity of the firm in the designated geographic area of the project to perform work, (4) Past record of performance on contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs, (5) SDVOSB status. The Small Business Standard is $4 million. This is not a Request For Proposal (RFP). NAIC #541310 applies. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
