- Description
- The National Park Service, Grand Canyon National Park Science and Resource Management Division, has a requirement for a Firm Fixed-Price commercial services contract for Vegetation Mapping. This contract will have a base performance period of twelve (12) months, commencing on or about 1 July 2009 - 30 June 2010. This contract will include two (2), one-year option periods. Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, transportation, supervision, inspection, and incidental material to conduct on-site reconnaissance and collect accuracy assessment data during vegetation map development and assessment. Contractor shall create complete and accurate vegetation maps for areas within the mapping boundaries, as outlined in the Statement of Work. These areas are located within the Grand Canyon National Park and portions of Parashant National Monument. Various evaluation factors will be used to include overall prices, past performance of similar projects, technical capability of the firm. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the base requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the options. Solicitation is being issued as a total small business set-aside, NAICS 541360; size standard is $4.5 million dollars. To be eligible for award of the contract, the contractor's average annual receipts cannot exceed $4.5 million. Contractors must have current registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to receive award. A PRE-SOLICITATION MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR 30 APRIL 2009 at 10 am, South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Contractors shall meet at 10 am on 30 April 2009 at the Albright Center parking lot located at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park. Contractors planning to attend this pre-solicitation meeting shall contact via email michael_kearsley@nps.gov and elizabeth_baierl@nps.gov to ensure access to the Park. No more than three (3) representatives per firm may attend this meeting, due to space availability. To enter the Park for this meeting, enter using the farthest left lane and inform attendant that you have official business at the Albright Center. NOTE: RSVP must be done prior to 29 April 2009 at 10 am to ensure access to the Park for this meeting. Individual tours or meetings will not be conducted nor permitted. Solicitation is now prepared in draft format and available for this pre-solicitation meeting. Official release of solicitation is anticipated to be on / or about May 11, 2009 with closing date for all offers due 10 June 2009. Regardless of the official release date of the solicitation, closing date will remain 10 June 2009 to ensure milestones for this project are achieved.
