- Reference Sources Sought Notice # NIHDK2009165 The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), National Institutes of Health (NIH), is seeking an organization to provide public inquiry response, materials development and dissemination, database development, meeting and exhibit support, and communications planning and outreach in support of the NIDDK's three legislatively authorized information clearinghouses. In addition, this contract will provide similar support and promotion in the subject areas of endocrine and metabolic diseases and hematologic diseases and will serve as the dissemination arm of the NIDDK's two national education programs. In addition, the Contractor shall have administrative capabilities to allow for speedy use of subcontractors to foster Prevention and Wellness Fund activities. While common resources should be shared for economies of scale, each clearinghouse must maintain a separate identity and accountability. The clearinghouses are: the National Diabetes Information Clearinghouse (NDIC), the National Digestive Diseases Information Clearinghouse (NDDIC), and the National Kidney and Urologic Diseases Information Clearinghouse (NKUDIC). The information services are: the National Endocrine and Metabolic Diseases Information Service (NEMDIS) and the National Hematologic Diseases Information Service (NHDIS). The education programs are: the National Diabetes Education Program (NDEP) and the National Kidney Disease Education Program (NKDEP). The services are currently provided through Contract Number N01-DK-4-2610 by Circle Solutions Inc., McLean, VA. This acquisition will be a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 511199, size standard 500 employees. The Request for Proposal, RFP Number NIHLM2009025 will be issued on or around 07 May 2009.
