- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to negotiate a sole-source procurement with International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) of Bethesda, MD. The contractor, IBM, will provide on-site and online support to the NSWC Engineering and Analysis Technology Center (SEATech) to provide continuous and ongoing IT maintenance support. IBM is the developer and sole-provider of the hardware requiring maintenance support. IBM has the level of expertise and quickest access to IBM facilities, future updates, and replacement parts on all maintenance functions. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit with only one source using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
