- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR UNDER THE ARCHITECT ENGINEERING SERVICE INDEFINITE DELIVERY INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) CONTRACT NUMBER IBM05D0001 WITH S&B INFRASTRUCTURES, LTD. The proposed levee/dike rehabilitation improvements consist of 1) raising the top-of-levee/dike elevation, 2) coordinating the work under this task order with the geotechnical investigations and testing being completed under a different task order to determine the type and extent of any required remediation improvements due to slope stability, seepage, levee/dike settlement, erosion, and any other geotechnical issues that may cause levee/dike failure during a 100-year flood event; 3) rehabilitating existing pipeline/culvert structures and appurtenances located within the levee/dike by modifying them to be in accordance with the raised levee/dike cross-section, repairing gates and gatewells, as required, and adding gates to ungated structures; and 4) design of new gated crossing structure, such as a culvert, on Lateral A Canal, owned by Hidalgo County Irrigation District No. 2 (HCID#2) at approximate coordinates of 98°14'23.925"W 26°5'32.41"N. The top elevation of the levee/dike-raising improvements will be as required to provide containment of design flood flows with a minimum freeboard of 3 feet for water surface elevations calculated in the USIBWC 2003 Hydraulic Model for the LRGFCP. In general, work requirements in this Scope of Work will be sufficient to lead into contracting and performance of construction of the proposed levee/dike improvements on the Lateral A to Donna Pump Levee and Retamal Dike Reach, except for a 0.9 mile length of existing levee/floodwall combination in the Lateral A to Donna Pump reach, just northwest of Donna Pump. In addition, the SOW also provides for Survey Control Maps for USIBWC internal use and records. The resulting negotiated Task Order will be synopsized and issued under the previously competed and existing Firm Fixed Price Singe Award IDIQ A/E contract referenced above.
