- This is a presolicitation notice only. The Technical Data Package will not be issued until the solicitation is released. DESCRIPTION: This is a full and open competitive, firm-fixed price, 5-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the M45 Faceblank, sizes: Small P/N: 5-1-2812, Medium P/N: 5-1-2813, and Large P/N: 5-1-2814. There are no NSNs for these items. The M45 Faceblank is a silicone rubber based subcomponent part of the M45 Mask Facepiece Assembly and provides the basic structure or skeleton to assemble the mask facepiece. The maximum estimated quantity for all items over the five year period is 73,950. The estimated guaranteed minimum quantities are as follows: Small Faceblank, P/N: 5-1-2812, QTY 16,000 each; Medium Faceblank, P/N: 5-1-2813, QTY 17,000 each; and Large Faceblank, P/N: 5-1-2814, QTY 1,000 each. The M45 Faceblank molds will be provided as Government Furnished Equipment. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is May 6, 2009. First Article is required. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102 (2) (7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: http://aais.ria.army.mil. CAUTION: The solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain and said amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for the bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
