REQ1055272 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. NOTE - THIS IS AN URGENT REQUIREMENT. This synopsis, NAICS code 561492, identified as REQ1055272, is to notify contractors that the government intends to issue a Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13.106 for the following statement of work, under the simplified acquisition procedures. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading the solicitation and any amendments. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps website for the release of any amendments to this solicitation. Hard copies will only be provided to individuals eligible under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Rehabilitation Act upon request. The Government reserves the right to award a contract without discussions if the Contracting Officer determines that the initial offer(s) is/are providing the Best Value and discussions are not necessary. Scope of Work: Independently, and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel and services, and otherwise do all things necessary for or incident to the performance of the work as described below: Required transcription services for each FDA Advisory Committee meeting: •Two weeks in advance of the meeting, the designated transcriber will contact the Designated Federal Official (DFO) to provide contact info (name, phone number, mobile number, email address), in case of emergency the day of meeting. DFO will also provide contact information; •Original professional bound Transcript and four professional bound copies; •2 electronic CD copies (Microsoft WORD format); •Transcript condensed version with key word index, 6 columns per page, one sided; •Five to Nine (5-9) Business Day Delivery; •The transcripts must be delivered to the DFO; •Contractor must be approved by FDA for access to privileged information and must be certified as being capable to receive and protect such information according to the requirements set forth in 21 CFR 20.90 (Disclosure to Contractor); •Price includes any additional staff hours and pages if meeting goes beyond tentative times listed; •Any of the proposed meeting dates may be canceled 14 business days in advance of the meeting without additional charge to the government for lost services, cancellation fees, or any other fees associated with providing transcription services for the proposed meeting; •The place of the meeting may be subject to change, without additional transcription charges; and •An additional fee may be charged for advance, expedited copies of a meeting transcript in less than 5 business days. Place*: Hotel in the Montgomery County Region *Place subject to change and/or cancellation. PAST EXPERIENCE: The contractor must be able to demonstrate past experience directly relevant to the types of work needed. Such experience includes projects performed in the past five years similar in scope to the requirements of this Statement of Work. Interested parties may identify their interest by responding to this requirement within 5 calendar days after the date of publication of this notice. Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of a contract. You may register by going to www.ccr.gov. You will need your DUN and Bradstreet number and banking information. The anticipated award date is 05/08/2009.
