- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Aviation System Standards, Flight Inspection Flight Programs Division has a requirement for development of a software/hardware solution for the transfer of data files automatically or manually via a cellular based ground-link. The Teledyne Wireless GroundLink System is currently approved for use on specific FAA aircraft under Supplemental Type Certificate numbers ST0949AC-D, ST09484AC-D and ST09641AC-D. In accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations, Teledyne Controls is the only vendor that can provide the parts that can be installed on these aircraft. Engineering services are required from Teledyne to develop the software interface application between the software and hardware so that the wireless ground-link system will interface with all on board systems. The estimated value of this acquisition is $166,000.00. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.
