Statemment of Objectives This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation F3B7DP9086A001 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ).. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect for Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. This acquisition is unrestricted. //Schedule of items: This requirement is for Fitness Equipment Maintenance. Any equal offered must be clearly identified by brand name, make and model number. Offerors of any equal must also include descriptive literature and any proposed modifications required to make an_or equal_item conform to specifications. //CLIN 0001: 12 months Fitness Center Equipment Maintenance in accordance with Statement of Objectives (SOO) Base Year Period: 1 June 2009 - 31 May 2010 //CLIN 0002: 12 months Fire Department Equipment Maintenance in accordance with Statement of Objectives (SOO) Base Year Period: 1 June 2009 - 31 May 2010 //CLIN 1001: 12 months Fitness Center Equipment Maintenance in accordance with Statement of Objectives (SOO) Option Year 1: 1 June 2010 - 31 May 2011 //CLIN 1002: 12 months Fire Department Equipment Maintenance in accordance with Statement of Objectives (SOO) Option Year 1: 1 June 2010 - 31 May 2011 // SITE VISIT - A SITE VISIT HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR 28 APRIL 2009 @ 9:30 A.M. LOCAL TIME AT RAF ALCONBURY, HUNTINGDON, CAMBRIDGESHIRE, PE28 4DA, UK.. E-mail written request with the name of those who will attend the site visit to Andrew Pillow, Contract Specialist, andrew.pillow@alconbury.af.mil or William Johnson, Contracting Officer, william.johnson@alconbury.af.mil. Requests must be received NLT 24 APRIL 2009 @ 16:00. ONLY ONE SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD. Valid Photo identification, such as passport or driving license, must be produced to gain access to installation. Please allow extra time to obtain your pass. //When price quotations are submitted please provide full details of the maintenance agreement you offer that meets our needs within the SOO. CLAUSES INCORPORATED BY FULL TEXT 52.217-5 EVALUATION OF OPTIONS (JUL 1990) Except when it is determined in accordance with FAR 17.206(b) not to be in the Government's best interests, the Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. Evaluation of options will not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). (End of provision) 52.217-8 OPTION TO EXTEND SERVICES (NOV 1999) The Government may require continued performance of any services within the limits and at the rates specified in the contract. These rates may be adjusted only as a result of revisions to prevailing labor rates provided by the Secretary of Labor. The option provision may be exercised more than once, but the total extension of performance hereunder shall not exceed 6 months. The Contracting Officer may exercise the option by written notice to the Contractor within 30 days. (End of clause) 52.217-9 OPTION TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT (MAR 2000) (a) The Government may extend the term of this contract by written notice to the Contractor within 30 days; provided that the Government gives the Contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least 60 days before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension. (b) If the Government exercises this option, the extended contract shall be considered to include this option clause. (c) The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options under this clause, shall not exceed 2 years.
